Akana is a motion graphics project for a Health and Wellbeing company. The project was made in Maya, After Effects and also used the plug in Trapcode Particular. The concept for the project came from the idea that an environment is sustained by the different animal and plant life contained within an ecosystem such as a lake. The fish in the video gives life to the lotus plants. Which then in turn grow to emerge as the Akana logos. The Aquarium by Saint Saen's which is the theme music, gave inspiration to the idea that the fish is glass (as the music is played on a glass harmonica), although it moves organically like a Koi Carp. The imagery is intended to be slightly surreal, graphic and non realistic to enhance the colours of the eventual logos.
